Invitations
I know I've said I found "The" invitation like 3 different times....but now I think I really have decided on Kangaroo pocket invites. It's perfect because it's still a pocket which I love, but it also uses less paper so it will be cheaper to make.
Keeping My Eyes Peeled For......
A buncha crap! And maybe you all could be a doll and keep an eye out for me as well. And if you happen to see something maybe you could be so kind as to tell me where. =)
Flip Flops
I know some brides hit up Old Navy for their 2 for $5 flip flops.....I think thats a good deal for buying myself flip flops.....but when you want around 20 pairs it doesnt sound so great lol I guess once a year Old Navy has them for $1 which is right up my alley. Unfortunately, I just missed the sale a few months ago (typical right? lol) So I could either wait till next years sale....OR.....I have heard that both Michael's and Hobby Lobby have their flip flops for $1....but this sale comes at random times and isn't really advertised. So if by chance you see this...please be a dear and lemme know. I would prefer them to be in brown and pink but I'll have to see what the options are. I also hear Walmart has a huge sale on their flip flops at the end of summer so I will have to keep an eye out for that too.
Cake Serving set
Cake serving sets are way more expensive than I think they're worth . I will most likely end up getting a used set. I have been looking at Goodwill periodically. I'll probably just add some ribbon to them and call it a day. OR......if someone has theirs from their wedding that isn't engraved, maybe i could borrow it as my something borrowed? Just a thought

Dying My Crinoline
I decided to dye my crinoline that goes underneath my dress pink, so that when I was dancing, picking up my dress to walk or what not, that there would be a little splash of pink poking out. Here's how I did it...........(click on the pictures for directions)
Cardbox
I fell in love with the idea of using an actual mailbox for our cardbox. I thought it was cute and a little different than the usual box with a bow. Directions below.
Tears Of Joy Packets
These are little packets of tissues that I will have as you walk into the ceremony. I'm not eve sure if anyone other than me will be crying, but make me feel better please and just grab some tissues for the hell of it.
I did them on both light and hot pink. I was going to put a sticker or buy a stamp to decorate them, but I decided to go simple with some ribbon. The whole project only cost me $4. $1 for the tissues, $1 for each of the tissue paper colors, & $1 for the ribbon. I also want to do some in brown, but I'm having a hard time finding brown tissue paper. I'm sure they're out there somewhere though!
Finally found brown tissue paper.....so here it is!
Drink Stirrers
I made drink stirrers to put out at the bar. They are cute and cheap and I will also leave out a marker so people can write their names on them of they want. I bought 2 packs of "Skinny Sticks" from the craft section at Walmart. They come 75 to a pack for $2.47. I got 6 pages of scrapbook paper in various patterns, as long as they were pink and brown. They were 50% off so I only paid .30 a piece. Grand total for this project was under $7.
All 150 of them
Garters
I went to Dollar Tree and found these garters. Not too shabby for a buck! So I bought 2 of them, ripped of the white ribbon and cheesy heart.....................
....after
.....and added my own pink ribbon and one little rhinestone. Voila! Not bad for $2 (I already had the ribbon and rhinestones) Now I have a toss garter and one for myself
Dollar Dance Bag
I thought a bag that looked like an old school bank robbers bag would be really cute to collect the $$ in for the dollar dance. I found this bag for $1.99 on ebay (free shipping) and just glittered the dollar sign in pink.
Personalized Hangers
I saw these cute things all over The Knot and decided to tackle the project myself. I bought the hangers at 99c only in packs of 3. I removed the wood bar that went across the bottom and spray painted them pink. I bought floral wire and formed the names (after 3 crappy trials) I then drilled holes in the sides and filled them with Krazy glue and put the wire inside. The ribbon was on sale for 99c at Micahel's and the pink spray paint was left over from the cardbox project. Again, another cute project for just a few bucks.
I like them so much I'm going to buy some more hangers and wire and make them for the flower girls, myself, mom, and mother in law as well

My Fabulous Heels =)
So if you read under the Attire page, you know about the whole shoe situation. I decided the only way I was going to get exactly what I want was to make them myself.
So I went on the good ole Ebay and bought myself some plain pink patent pleather (ha!) peep toe pumps.
Seee......

Along with some pink glitter and some tacky glue.............
.....and you get this.
It photographs a little purplish/blue......but it doesn't look that way in person. It's very pink up close. I'm thrilled with how they came out and it was a pretty quick and easy project.

I DO
I actually did this part before I glittered them. I had Kinsey free hand "I Do" in pencil on the back.
Then I just glued rhinestones on one by one
Bridesmaid Wine Glasses
up close...
I bought these wine glasses at Dollar Tree. I bought Folkart Enamels paint from Hobbly Lobby. I had Kinsey draw the letters for me on a piece of paper, then cut them out and taped them to the inside of the glass. Then i just traced it with my paintbrush. It took about 3 coats of going in and covering the light areas to get it to look that solid. Then I just free handed the polka dots.
Let them dry for about an hour. Place them on a cookie sheet and put them in a cold oven. Heat it to 325 and let them bake for 30mins. After 30 mins turn off the oven and let them cool. (I left them in there over night)

Flip Flops
I bought the flip flops on sale for $1 per pair. Cut out some cardstock squares. Stamped on the letter for the size...punched a whole, tied them on and Done!
